The origins of PaperBlazer go back to 2004. At that point, our founder earned a graduate degree in English and tutored students at the Ball State Writing Center. That experience in writing and editing laid the groundwork. Since that point, efforts have grown from a small classroom in Muncie, Indiana, to a world-class company with clients in over 35 countries.
After relocation in the Midwest, a mission began to help internationals at Northern Illinois University. Editing work involved meeting with graduate students and assisting with ESL revisions. Those early days paved the way for what would soon come — namely, an English service that would help people around the world.
As a business, PaperBlazer started in 2012 — with native English speakers, proudly rooted in Chicagoland. No one knew what to expect. The American-based company began small, with the first order being less than $5. Yet, in a matter of months, the proofreading and editing company grew — dramatically increasing the number of clients and number of projects.
Unlike other services that resort to overseas outsourcing and unethical plagiarism, we remain true to our core principle: Words matter, and you matter. For that reason, we the top 1% of editors for professional proofreading and editing. And for our educational clients, we approach documents in a sensitive manner that retains your ideas and voice — so that our services help you grow as a writer.
Now, PaperBlazer stands as a global leader in proofreading and editing service. In over a decade of work, our clients have included international businesses, medical researchers, college professors, non-profit organizations, and more. We look forward to working with you, so let’s partner together and see what is possible!
